Purpose
The sonobuoy workstation recorded both the NMEA feed from the FV Amaltal Explorer and the GPS data from this independed Garmin Receiver. The Ship's NMEA feed was used by PAMGuard to display the ship's position, while these data from the independent Garmin receiver were used by the Acoustic Localisation Software, difarBSM, to display the location of the ship, sonobuoys, and acoustic localisations.
