- Statement
- The coastal time-series site was located at the Luhuitou fringing reef in the southeastern part of Sanya Bay in the northern South China Sea. The site was about 60 m offshore with an average depth of 1.80 m. A sensor package was deployed at a fixed position at the time-series site (~0.5 m above the seafloor) to continuously record the variations of in situ parameters. The sensor package included a conductivity-temperature-depth system (Citadel, RDI Co., USA) measuring temperature, salinity, and tidal height, an in situ analyzer for DIC (ISA-DIC), and an in situ analyzer for TA (ISA-TA). The outputs of ISA-DIC and ISA-TA were calibrated against discrete DIC and TA measurements (see blew). The accuracies of the calibrated results of ISA-DIC and ISA-TA were 1.7 ± 19.1 and -0.03 ± 7.6 umol kg-1 respectively. Tidal advection velocity was taken from the output of a barotropic tidal model that predicts sea levels and currents in the study region.
